| Learn the 3 Things Voters Hate About Political Candidates and How to Avoid Being ‘That Candidate’ That Voters Hate | |

By Sean S. McGrath
There are a few particular things that political candidates do that REALLY annoy voters. One of the reasons that these things annoy voters is because they’re DEAL KILLERS. |
| A n average voter can like everything about you, but if you do these things (or even ONE of these things), it can DESTROY your chances of successfully getting their vote. Here are three of the BIG things that average voters hate: |
|
| 1. NOT Clearly Explaining WHY You Want to Represent Them in Office | |
| If I had to describe the one single thing that both annoys voters and DESTROYS a candidates chances, it would be this.
You would be surprised as to how often I see this in campaigns to this day. Candidates who fail to give a clear explanation of why they want to serve are in effect saying, “Vote for me because I want to be somebody…” And the problem is that voters don’t want to vote for someone who wants to BE somebody … they want to vote for someone who wants to DO something. Voters HATE IT when you present yourself as a candidate without fully explaining the rationale as to why you want to serve and the benefits you will deliver. I could literally write an entire book on this one single concept. DON’T BE THAT GUY! And by the way, its one thing to know why you want to run for office, but it’s another to explain it publicly. Take whatever time you require now and LEARN HOW TO EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATE your message to the public. |
|
| 2. A Lack of Openness and Candor | |
| Voters also RESENT it when a candidate (or elected official) tries to hide an obvious fact, or when they fail to candidly expose themselves after being questioned about a particular behavior, by hiding certain facts from the public.
In the voters mind, it’s politics at its worst. Obfuscating the truth – making something unclear or unnecessarily complicated – breeds distrust and disillusionment. This kind of person makes voters cringe. Clarity, candor and openness is what breeds a sense of trust and empowerment with people, so be open with people about who you are and why you want to represent them in political office … For example, if you don’t know the details of a particular issue, don’t pretend that you do. Simply admit that you don’t know, and ask the individual asking the question (if there is one) if he/she will assist you in the process of learning more about the solutions. Or let it be known that you’re unfamiliar with this issue, but would be glad to do some homework and get back to the person with some answers. This kind of candor and openness will work wonders for you in the eyes of the public, and will also work wonders for you on election night! |

| 3. Not Understanding the Needs of the People in the District | |
| This is a BIGGIE.
Voters can instantly feel it when they’re with a candidate who “gets it”. Voters know very quickly if they’re talking to a candidate who understands what’s really going on in the lives of the voters in the district … and who has an idea of how to address it … they know when a candidate is “In Touch” with what’s going on locally. If the candidate is, then they are more likely to give him trust, and their vote. If he isn’t, then they won’t. It’s what political insiders call “Developing an Affinity with Your Audience”, and it’s really an easy thing to do. It can be summed up like this: voters want to know how their lives will be better for having voted for you. They don’t want to know the technical details of all the issues, they just want to know that you understand the issues and that you care, and that you will do all that you can to make their lives a little better for having voted for you to represent them in your particular race…they want to know that their lives will be better because you are there serving and fighting for them. Now that I’ve shared these three critical mistakes with you, you need the next piece of the puzzle. You need to get an education on how to craft your compelling message in a way that is open and sincere, that explains why you want to run, and how you plan to serve in such a way as to make the lives of your constituents a little better for having served them in office. And what’s the best way to do that? Well, I’ve spent the last twenty plus years of my life figuring out exactly what does and doesn’t work with voters in election campaigns. I’ve been around some of the best political strategists in the world, and accumulated what I’ve learned and put it all together to help others learn as well. My “How To Win” eBook represents THOUSANDS of hours of research, testing, teaching, real world application, and generally organizing every level of this knowledge into an easy-to-understand system that ANY candidate or elected official can use to increase his success on election night. And I’ll tell you something … It works. This eBook is the most advanced and effective program of its kind available anywhere at ANY PPRICE. Get more information about it here: How To Win Free Trial |
